What are the motor drivers?

What are the drivers?

1.There is a brush motor drive
The driving method of the DC brush motor is actually driving using the H bridge circuit. The core circuit H bridge plus some necessary peripheral circuits, which jointly forms a DC driver with a brush motor.

The H bridge itself can be used as an integrated circuit or consisting of separate components. The H bridge in the form of integrated circuits is generally used in the application of small and medium -sized power requirements, or there is a required occasion for the circuit area.

The H bridge in the form of separate components is usually used in applications with high power or ultra -high power requirements. It is mainly composed of MOSFET or IGBT transistors.

However, the pin of the MCU cannot directly drive the MOS tube and other components. It is necessary to add a dedicated MOS tube drive chip.

2.Brushless motor drive

The brushless motor is also driven by the H bridge circuit, but every phase of the motor is driven by a semi -bridge circuit. One three -phase brushless motor requires a total of three and a half bridge, not like the DC brush motor drive. Use the whole bridge circuit.

Like the DC motor motor, the brushless motor driver is also divided into integrated circuit forms and separated component forms, but because the brushless motor needs to be replaced, even the form of a separate component only gives the semi -bridge circuit independent. Similar to the figure below, it is a brushless motor drive.

3.Step motor drive

Step motor cannot directly receive work on DC or AC power, and special drives must be connected to use normally.

The controller sends the steps and the direction signal to the step motor drive. The driver converts the stepping pulse signal sent by the controller to the power signal required for the rotation of the motor.

Step motor drives usually have subdivision functions, which can subdivide the steps and currents, so as to achieve more accurate control and lower noise vibration.

4.Servo motor drive
Servo Drives, a servo motor, is a controller used to drive and control the servo motor, which is part of the servo system.

The servo motor receiving and amplification of the command signal from the control system, and pass the current to the servo motor to generate a proportional movement to the command signal. These command signals usually control the location, speed, and torque of the servo motor to achieve a high -precision transmission system positioning.

The sensor attached to the servo motor feeds the actual state of the motor to the servo drive, and the driver compares the actual motor state with the command state from the control system. The driver then changes the voltage, frequency, or pulse width passed to the motor to correct the state of any deviation command.
